New Port Engineering 12 Volt Wiper Motors for Mercury Passenger Cars & Comet

The clean wipe wiper drive is a true bolt-in replacement for your original equipment vacuum or electric windshield wiper motor.  Each model of the clean wipe wiper drive is designed for the specific year and model of the vehicle.

  • Designed for attachment to O.E.M. wiper transmission or cable drums
  • Our kits are 12 volt.  If your vehicle is 6 volt, you will need a power inverter or to convert your vehicle to 12 volt
  • Each kit comes complete with nylon bushings to replace the rubber grommets in the wiper transmission linkage arms (when required)

1939-1940 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE3940MP):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.  The two speed switch provided will mount in the stock location, but the delay switch will not.

 

1941 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE4100FP):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.  The two speed switch provided will mount in the stock location, but the delay switch will not.  *This motor will not fit with the stock radio box.*

 

1942-(Early)1947 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE4647FP):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.  The two speed switch provided will mount in the stock location, but the delay switch will not.  Note: The early '47 uses the small wiper transmissions.  The hole in the cowl for the wiper transmissions is 3/8" in diameter.

 

1947(Late)-1948 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE4800FP):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.  The two speed switch provided will mount in the stock location, but the delay switch will not.  Note: The late '47 uses the large one piece wiper transmissions.  The hole in the cowl for the wiper transmissions is 5/8" in diameter.  The wiper transmissions are riveted to a common bar that features mounting tabs for the wiper motor.

 

1949 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE4900MP):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.

 

1950 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE5000MP):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.  Note: Mounting screws on motor are spaced 5" center to center.

 

1951 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE5100MP):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.  Note: Mounting screws on motor are spaced 5-7/8" center to center.

 

1952-1954 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE5254FM):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.  The two speed switch provided will mount in the stock location, but the delay switch will not.  A shaft extension is required to use the stock wiper knob and bezel in the stock location.

 

1955-1956 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE5556FM):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.  The two speed switch provided will mount in the stock location, but the delay switch will not.  A shaft extension is required to use the stock wiper knob and bezel and mount it in the stock location.  Please contact us if the stock radio remains in the car.

Motor mounts in the stock location on the firewall in the engine compartment and operates through the OEM cables.  The two speed switch provided will mount in the stock location, but the delay switch will not.  A shaft extension is required to use the stock wiper knob and bezel and mount it in the stock location.

 

1958 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE5800MP):

Motor mounts in the stock location on the firewall in the engine compartment and operates through the OEM cables.  The two speed switch will mount in the stock location, but the delay switch will not.  A shaft extension is required to use the stock wiper knob and bezel and mount it in the stock location.

 

1959-1960 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE5960MP):

Motor mounts in the stock location on the firewall and operates through the OEM cables.

 

1961-1962 Mercury Passenger Cars (NE6062FM):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.

 

1960-1962 Mercury Comet (NE6062FP):

Motor mounts in the stock location under the dash using the stock linkage and transmissions.  The two speed switch provided will not work in the factory mounting hole.

 

1963-1965 Mercury Comet (NE6365FAL):

Now available from New Port Engineering is our clean wipe wiper drive for the 1963-1965 Mercury Comet.  No longer will you be forced to drive in the rain with the old single speed original wiper motor.  This kit will bolt-in to replace the original wiper motor and includes everything you need to have a reliable wiper system in your car.  The kit will include all mounting brackets, a heavy-duty two speed wiper motor, mounting hardware, two speed switch, and wiring harness.  Your linkage will attach directly to our motor, and the switch will mount in the stock hole in the dash with our shaft extension option.  The motor can also be easily upgraded to intermittent delay function with the addition of the intermittent delay switch.
