Total Cost Involved Coil-Over Independent Front Suspension for 1964.5-1970 Ford Mustang, 1966-1967 Ford Fairlane, and 1967-1968 Mercury Cougar

This TCI Engineering custom IFS is engineered for 1967-1969 Mercury Cougars using 4.6 modular engines, 5.0 Coyote engines, 5.4 modular engines, and 429-460 Ford big block engines.  This American Made custom IFS has been designed to lower the vehicle stance, increase the performance, strength, control, drivability, handling capabilities, and opens up your engine compartment.  The factory shock towers are removed and replaced with steel flat panels making more room and cleaning up the engine bar.  The cross member is placed onto supplied reinforcing boxing plates as high as possible in the chassis leaving plenty of ground clearance even with dropped spindles.

  • Custom IFS design eliminates the factory shock towers for more engine bay clearance and more header clearance
  • The primary crossmember has a reinforced square tube 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x .188 wall American made steel that has been mig & tig welded together within the center of the crossmember from control arm pin to pin for a reinforced wall thickness of 3/8" for more strength and durability
  • Completely boxed front frame rails increase strength and rigidity
  • Crossmember has been engineered to lower the center of gravity of your vehicle to decrease body roll & increase handling performance while allowing plenty of ground clearance
  • The engine mounts have been engineered with laser cut precision American made steel, metal wall thickness is 3/16" and fabricated with Mig & Tig welds for strength and durability
  • The 4.6, 5.0, 5.4, and 429-460 big block engine mounts are designed to be bolted on to the TCI Engineering cusom IFS

 

Tech Info:

 

  • All engine installations with this front end will require a rear sump oil pan
  • FE big block engines (352/390/427/428) require Canton oil pan part # 15-874
  • SBF engines (289/302) require Milodon oil pan part # 31125
  • Windsor engines (351) require Canton oil pan part # 15-690
  • Note: A new steering column will be needed to replace the one piece stock steering gear box
  • Note: TCI Engineering products do not come painted or powder coated
  • Note: This TCI front end will NOT work with a Ford 351 Cleveland engine
  • All TCI products are engineered with US steel
  • Life time warranty on all TCI engineering manufactured parts
